Maersk Line, extending its bid to reverse a slide in ocean pricing, has announced rate increases on its services from Northern Europe to North Africa and the Mediterranean as well as from Asia to the Mediterranean.
Maersk will raise the rates on southbound services from Northern Europe to North Africa, east and west Mediterranean by $100 per TEU as of May 15.
It is raising rates on westbound services from Asia to the Mediterranean, including the east and west Mediterranean, the Black Sea, North Africa and the Adriatic by US$250 per TEU as of June 1.
It said the increases apply to all cargo and commodities, including reefers and special equipment.
