Montreal adds Med/Cuba service call

The Port of Montreal last week saw the first call of a service connecting it to the Mediterranean and Cuba.   Melfi Marine Corp. provides the service, which previously called at Halifax, with three 1,388-TEU ships that call at Naples, Valencia, Havana and Montreal every 10 days.   The port said container volume has grown 14 percent over the first five months of 2009.    American Shipper
