LAM - Mozambique Airlines has announced the opening, next November services to Luanda, the capital of Angola. Luanda will be among the first wave of destinations that will be added to Mozambique Airlines route network unil the first quarter of 2010.
Angola after a long and devastating civil war, is a “booming” country, with natural resources like oil, diamond, in addition to major foreign investments that are going through, mainly in infra structure.
Thus this, the tourism potential of Mozambique, with a beautiful coastline and fascinating beaches, are a major attraction for the Angolans who aimed to visit the country.
Recently, there is also a huge interest of Mozambican and Angolan businessmen’s in developing common projects on the southern and central parts of Africa.
“This route will definitely will increase the cooperation in business sector and bring closer the two brotherhood countries, that share a common language and historic relationship. For our clients and for the Southern region these flights will be one more option to Fly to Luanda, in this case with the warm, hospitality and smile, that characterize the Mozambicans”, said LAM CEO´s Mr. Jose Viegas.
LAM- Mozambique Airlines will serve Luanda with two flights, with the modern EMBRAER 190, twice a week The new service is expect to give connections to passengers to and from Johannesburg, Dar Es Salam and Nairobi.
