227 freighters taken out of service

Airlines have taken an estimated 227 dedicated freighters out of their fleets and those still flying are only half full, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) says. Belly freight on passenger planes is absorbing most demand and competition for available business means airfreight pricing often is well-below acceptable commercial levels.
