German ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd said it is raising rates from all parts of Asia, including the Indian Subcontinent, to Canada beginning March 15.
The increases are $320 per 20-foot container, $400 per 40-foot container and $450 per 40-foot high cube container to Vancouver; and $400 per 20-foot container, $500 per 40-foot container and $565 per 40-foot high-cube container on all intermodal and all-water East Coast shipments.
The increases apply to dry and reefer cargo from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines, the Russian Pacific ports of Vladivostok and Vostochny, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
