Grand Alliance carriers will reactivate the fourth loop in their Asia/northern Europe network, according to research from ComPair Data.
The service, which until December was known as EU4, is now Loop D after Grand Alliance carriers Hapag-Lloyd, NYK Line and OOCL rebranded their services in the winter. It is jointly operated with New World Alliance carriers APL, Hyundai Merchant Marine and MOL.
Loop D was suspended in December for the down season but is due to start up again with the previous rotation: Qingdao, Shanghai, Shekou, Yantian, Singapore, Le Havre, Southampton, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Singapore, Chiwan and Qingdao.
The service will be operated with 10 ships averaging 6,151 TEUs, with APL providing five, OOCL three, NYK one and the 10th undetermined.
