TNT Express has launched a new air cargo service linking Moscow and its main European hub Liege, via Warsaw.
Operating five times a week, the new route will strengthen TNT's service to the healthcare industry.
Russia is becoming an increasingly bigger market for pharmaceutical companies. The country's pharma market grew by 18% in value to US$17 billion in 2009, and may increase by another 11% in this year.
Temperature-sensitive biological samples already account for a large proportion of TNT's shipments out of Russia.
In March 2010, TNT connected Western Europe with Yekaterinburg - the largest city in the Urals, and the company's European Road Network also connects Moscow, St Petersburg and Nizhniy Novgorod.
