Turkish Airlines to Add A330F to Hong Kong Route

10/21/2010 10:49:35 AM

Turkish Airlines is taking delivery of two new A330-200 freighters and four B777-300ER aircraft by the end of the year.

The additional aircraft will strengthen the organization's services to China and support demand for capacity between Asia and Europe.

Turkish Cargo began twice-weekly freighter flights between Hong Kong and Istanbul on Oct. 15.

Hong Kong, being the second-largest cargo hub in the world, is a very important market for us. The expansion of Turkish Cargo will further enhance our local presence and our penetration into the Asia-Pacific market,” said Huseyin Ceyhan, director of Turkish Airlines in Hong Kong.

From Istanbul, the airline said it can reach destinations in nearly 50 countries within two to three hours including Tbilisi, Damascus and Maastricht.
