The New World Alliance has added a call at Qingdao and an eastbound second call at Yokohama on one of its transpacific services linking Northeast Asia with California, according to Com Pair Data.
The APL-operated PS5 service has a revised rotation of Qingdao, Shanghai, Busan, Yokohama, Los Angeles, Oakland, Yokohama, Busan, and Qingdao. APL has also added a sixth vessel to the service in conjunction with the new calls. It deploys six vessels with an average capacity of 4,846 TEUs on the service.
Aside from APL’s partners in the New World Alliance, MOL and Hyundai Merchant Marine, Evergreen Line take slots on the service, though the Taiwanese line only offers slots from Busan to Los Angeles in lieu of its space on the New World Alliance’s suspended seasonal PCE service, according to ComPair Data.
