Boeing Co said Indonesian carrier Lion Air has confirmed its order for 230 planes valued at US$22.4 billion, making it the largest commercial-aircraft deal ever for the US plane maker, reported Dow Jones Newswires.
Lion Air will buy 201 Boeing 737 and 29 next-generation 737-900ERs, Boeing said in a statement.
Lion Air founder and president director Rusdi Kirana said Boeing would start delivering the planes in 2017.
The agreement – which was first announced in November last year – also includes purchase rights for an additional 150 airplanes.
