Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new service, Russia Express (REX), connecting Germany with Russia, Finland and Poland.
The new service, starting in May, will operate weekly sailings from Bremerhaven and Hamburg to the Baltic region, with additional onward connections to the company's global network.
The two vessels used on REX each have a capacity of 1,400 TEU. They call weekly at the ports of Bremerhaven, Hamburg, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Gdynia, before returning to Bremerhaven. From the two North German ports there are numerous onward connections within Hapag-Lloyd's global service network.
