ZIM’s Asia Europe Express Service (AEX2), connecting major ports in Asia and North Europe, is to be re-instated this month.
In view of increasing demand and recovering freight rates in the trade, ZIM, along with its partners on this line, Evergreen and CSCL, reached a joint decision to resume AEX2 operations as originally planned. The service was suspended as part of a “winter plan” agreed upon by partners
The service will deploy nine ships of 8,000-TEUs to 8,500-TEUs capacity. ZIM will supply three vessels.
The service rotation is Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Klang, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Tanjung Pelepas, Qingdao.
