Emirates Shipping Line is joining the Asia-Middle East legs of a Grand Alliance/Hanjin Shipping service.
Emirates will take slots from Busan and China to Dammam and Jebel Ali, and back, on the Grand Alliance’s SCX service, which Hanjin calls PSG.
Emirates will dub the service FGX, and will take slots with the following rotation: Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Singapore, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Port Kelang, Singapore, Laem Chabang, and Yantian.
The service continues on to the U.S. West Coast before returning to Busan, but Emirates will not participate in those legs.
According to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data, the service is operated with 11 vessels (seven from NYK Line and four from Hanjin) with an average capacity of 6,500 TEUs.
