Hapag-Lloyd will upgrade its Mediterranean-Canada Service with an additional eastbound call at Lisbon, Portugal, starting in October.
The new MCA rotation will be Montreal, Lisbon, Algeciras, Fos, Genoa, Livorna, Salerno, Cagliari, Valencia, Algeciras, Lisbon and Montreal.
“This step will not only improve the transit time from Montreal to Portugal to 9 days, but it will also provide in addition new opportunities for exports from Lisbon,” the German carrier said.
Hapag-Lloyd also said it would be position to offer onward connections to other Mediterranean destinations, West Africa, Far East, India, the Middle East and North America via its hub ports of Algeciras and Cagliari as well as Valencia.
