CHINESE shipping line SITC is preparing to commence two new intra-Asia services by mid-March, with one of them involving "K" Line's participation, reports Alphaliner.
The first service to be launched on February 28 from Tokyo is the Japan-China-Vietnam service (CJV5), which will deploy three containerships ranging in size from 800 to 1,000 TEU.
The port rotation for the CJV5 is Tokyo, Yokohama, Hitachinaka, Kawasaki, Nagoya, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Shekou, Haiphong and back to Tokyo with a three-week turning time.
From mid-March the carrier will jointly operate the Japan-China-Vietnam-Thailand (VTX3) with "K" Line, deploying four 1,000-TEU ships, three of which, will be provided by SITC.
The port rotation for the VTX3 is Tokyo, Yokohama, Hitachinaka, Shanghai, Ningbo, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Manila (N&S), Shanghai and back to Tokyo with a four-week turning time.
