Saudi Airlines Cargo is the second largest airline carrying cargo out of Dubai, according to data released by the Department of Civil Aviation in Dubai.
In 2012, Saudia Cargo carried 12,242 tonnes of cargo in its passenger aircrafts out of Dubai and recorded a growth rate out of the United Arab Emirates of 27 percent.
“This is an impressive achievement considering the current challenges facing the air cargo world,” said Amer Abu Obeid, sales director for Middle East North Africa & Turkey.
Saudi Airlines Cargo operates freighter services with 13 freighters and sells the belly-capacity on 145 passenger aircraft.
