The twice-a-week flight on a Boeing B777-F links Doha, Nairobi and Liege. The imported goods will consist mainly of flowers, agricultural products and fish. The goods will be handled by Aviapartner.
“We are very proud to welcome Qatar Airways Cargo to our platform,” Luc Partoune, CEO of Liege Airport, said. “With the airfreight market in crisis for the last two years, the decision to operate new routes demonstrates both the ambition of Qatar Airways and the advantages of Liege Airport.”
The Qatar Airways Cargo network provides a global reach for customers in Africa, Europe, North America, South America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and North Asia.
“We have a highly organized logistics chain involving companies, the airport, handling and haulage contractors. We deal with perishable goods in the best possible conditions,” Partoune said.
