Alliances reluctant to leave Heathrow

All three global airline alliances - oneworld, Star and SkyTeam - say they will resist any attempts to make them use another south east UK airport instead of London Heathrow Airport. Moving airlines to other airports is one of the options being considered by an inquiry into airport capacity. The Airports Commission is considering at least three solutions to Heathrow's overcrowding: Adding a third runway at Heathrow, expanding Gatwick airport or building a new hub in the Thames estuary.    Aircargo Asia Pacific
