Cargolux will commence a new South American routing between Luxemboug and Buenos Aires using Boeing 747 freighters starting Nov. 13.
The service will route via Viracopos, Brazil, on the way to Buenos Aires, and the return leg will make stops in Latacunga, Ecuador; Bogota, Colombia; Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; and Kent, England.
Officials are planning to see automotive and consumer goods on the flights to Agrentina, and they will likely transport automotive parts, live animals and perishables on the return flight.
"The additional rotation to South America is introduced due to increasing exports and demand for air cargo capacity out of Ecuador and Colombia as well as a requirement for additional capacity from Brazil in combination with the service to Argentina," according to a company statement.
