CHINA Shipping Container Lines' (CSCL) new domestic coastal shipping service offers weekly calls at Nansha Terminal in Guangzhou and the northern Caofeidian Container Terminal near Tianjin, Xinhua reports.
The 4,051-TEU New Nantong will be the first to sail. The vessel is 50,000-tonnes and 263 metres long.
This is the second container shipping service that calls at the smaller container terminal of Caofeidian since Cosco's domestic shipping service was launched in August.
Caofeidian becomes the only terminal in Hebei province that handles domestic box shipping lanes of both Cosco and CSCL, the two largest carriers in China.
