IAG Cargo will add in June an additional flight between its hub in Madrid and Panama once per week, bringing the service to a daily schedule in July.
The carrier already offers five flights each week on the routing, and uses Iberia's A340-300, A340-600 and A330-300 planes for the flights.
"The additional capacity on offer complements our existing routes out of Latin America and into Europe, with these flights being particularly important for the delivery of perishable goods from across the region, for example, carrying fresh flowers from Colombia," Rodrigo Casal, IAG Cargo's regional commercial manager for Latin American, said in a statement. "The increase in flight frequency highlights IAG Cargo’s commitment to the region."
