In line with ZIM’s strategy to strengthen the its position and brand name worldwide, particularly in Asia, the company has renamed its agency in Japan – ZIM Japan Ltd.
While ZIM has been active in the Japanese market for decades, recent developments has given a new momentum to the company's activities in Japan, including the planned deployment of new ships in the near future, which is expected to have a significant impact on ZIM's Japanese trade.
This follows last month’s announcement that ZIM had established a new agency – ZIM Vietnam – with offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Haiphong. The Latest Addition to ZIM’s Global Network
In other news, ZIM recently announced that a new direct Asia-Black Sea service would begin in mid-September.
Operated together with China Shipping, Yang Ming and K-Line, the service will deploy seven 4,000 TEU vessels on a fixed-day weekly frequency on the following port rotation: Shanghai > Ningbo > Shekou > Nansha > Port Kelang > Istanbul > Constanza > Ilyichevsk > Shanghai.
This service is part of Zim’s growth in the Black Sea which, together with the Asia-Med-Pacific (AMP), the Far East Med Express (FMX) and the extensive feeding network, offers better coverage of the Asia-Black Sea trade.
