Taiwan’s two leading carriers Wan Hai Lines and Evergreen Line have concluded co-operative agreements on Intra-Asia trades covering Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan and Korea.
The agreements consist of slot exchanges between Wan Hai’s Korea-South East Asia Service (KSS)/Korea-Vietnam Service (KVS) and Evergreen’s North East Asia-South East Asia Service-A (NSA)/North East Asia-South East Asia Service-B (NSB).
Tony Chow, the president of Wan Hai Lines, said the Intra-Asia trade was expected to remain “comparatively stable”, leading the two carriers to expand their services.
The KSS service rotation is: Penang – Port Klang – Pasir Gudang – Singapore – Hong Kong – Kaohsiung – Keelung – Inchon – Kwangyang – Pusan– Keelung– Kaohsiung– Hong Kong– Singapore– Port Klang–Penang. First Sailing: Wan Hai 313 S039 and the estimated arrival in Incheon is on February 27.
The KVS service rotation is: Inchon – Kwangyang – Ulsan–Pusan – Keelung –Taichung–Hong Kong–Ho Chi Minh – Kaohsiung – Taichung–Keelung– Incheon.
The service sector for slot exchanges is from South Bound: Hong Kong – Ho Chi Minh and North Bound: Ho Chi Minh – Kaohsiung. First Sailing: Wan Hai 202 S267 estimated arrival in Hong Kong on February 27.
The NSA service rotation is: Osaka – Kobe – Iwakuni – Moji – Hakata – Taipei – Taichung – Kaohsiung – Nansha – Shekou – Hong Kong. First Sailing: Uni Perfect 1183-084S, and estimated arrival in Osaka on February 28.
The NSB service rotation is: Kaohsiung – Taichung – Taipei - Hong Kong – Pasir Gudang – Tanjung Pelepas – Penang – Port Kelang – Tanjung Pelepas – Singapore – Manila. First Sailing: Ital Onore 1179-021S that will arrive in Kaohsiung on February 22.
