Israeli liner carrier Zim said it is resuming direct calls to the Greek port of Piraeus on its Asia/Mediterranean/North America long line service.
The line didn't specify when calls to Piraeus stopped, but said it has been offering a regular service to the port for years before suspending calls there. The first vessel to call on Piraeus will be the Zim Panama on May 17. The weekly service uses 15 5,000-TEU vessels.
The updated rotation, starting from the Greek port, is Piraeus, Haifa, Livorno, Genoa, Tarragona, Halifax, New York, Savannah, Kingston, Long Beach, Oakland, Shekou, Hong Kong, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Balboa, Kingston, Savannah, New York, Halifax, Tarragona and Piraeus.
