Shenzhen Port throughput dips

Shenzhen Port's container throughput decreased by 19.79 percent on-year to 1.4113 million TEUs in June 2009 and the decrease rate was 3.35 percentage points larger than May.   The port's cargo throughput volume totalled 15.79 million tonnes in June, decreasing by 8.58 percent on-year or decreasing by 2.14 percent on-month.   For the first half 2009, Shenzhen Port recorded cargo transport volume of 87.68 million tonnes, decreasing by 16.6 percent on-year.   The foreign trade cargo throughput volume decreased by 20.31 percent on-year to 64.4848 million TEUs.   The port also transported container of 8.1 million TEUs.   Cargo News Asia
