CMA CGM carried the shipping world's rate hiking efforts to two more trade lanes, announcing price increases on container business from Asia to North Europe and between Asia and the Mediterranean.
The Marseilles-based carrier is seeking rate increases on all cargo and commodities moving westbound from Asia to the Mediterranean and North Europe as of Sept. 1.
Rates will go up by $200 per 20-foot equivalent unit on the trade between Asia and North Europe and between Asia and ports in the Mediterranean, the Black Sea and the Adriatic Sea.
