Europe figures down 15.1 per cent

European airlines' airfreight totals fell 15.1 per cent in August compared to August 2008.   The Association of European Airlines (AEA) said traffic on Far East routes, the European carriers’ major trade lane, was down 21.7 per cent in August from August 2008 and off 3.5 per cent compared to July.   The 15.1 per cent decline was the slimmest since November 2008, but it still left the carriers with a 20.6 per cent drop for the first eight months of 2009.   Aircargo Asia Pacific
