AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), part of the Volga-Dnepr Group, is launching a new B747 freighter service from one of its European gateways at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Tokyo, Japan.
The new B747-400 all-cargo flight has been launched in response to demands for capacity on the route from ABC’s freight forwarding customers. The Russian carrier will open the new route as part of its 2009/10 winter schedule and the service will fly via AirBridgeCargo’s hub at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport.
As well as cargo bound for Narita, ABC said the flight would be able to carry shipments to all other destinations within its network. Cargo can be easily offloaded in Sheremetyevo for the next connecting flight to other Asian destinations, such as Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
