Mediterranean Shipping Company will offer direct service from the U.S. East Coast to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a change in rotation on its GGS USAEC / Far East service.
Beginning Nov. 10 with the sailing of M/V MSC Kenya out of New York, the service will sail through the Suez Canal rather than around the Cape of Good Hope and call at Jeddah, thereby substantially reducing transit times. The service will be non-stop direct from the United States to Jeddah.
The service will also provide onward connections via Jeddah to all major ports in the Red Sea, Jebel Ali and all other Gulf and Middle East ports, using MSC's dedicated feeder vessels.
MSC is the world’s largest private containership operator with 416 vessels that call the world’s major ports on a weekly basis.
