On March 28, United Airlines starts direct daily flight operations between Brussels and Chicago. This new initiative is United Airlines’ second daily transatlantic destination from Brussels, adding to the daily Brussels-Washington route that exists since many years. Since the start of the current winter season, United Airlines already offers a daily Brussels-London-Chicago flight. This flight with a stopover in London Heathrow will be replaced by a nonstop service as from the summer season.
United Airlines is a member of Star Alliance. Brussels Airport will become a member of this alliance on December 9. This will allow both airlines to offer a seamless service on their respective North American and European/African networks.
Recently Air Canada, also a member of Star Alliance announced the introduction of direct daily flights between Brussels and Montreal during the next summer season. This daily Brussels-Montreal also connects perfectly to Brussels Airlines hub operation at Brussels Airport.
