Jade Cargo International and Chengdu Municipality have entered into a strategic agreement to establish an international air cargo hub for western China.
Jade Cargo selected Chengdu Airport as the western centre of its network, and will open new international routes to Europe and the Middle East.
The opening of a new all cargo route from Chengdu to Vienna, Amsterdam and Dubai has been announced, with three weekly services operated with Jade's Boeing 747-400ER freighters.
According to Jade Cargo CEO Kay Kratky, the carrier is the first globally operating all cargo airline to open direct flights between Chengdu and European centres, and the carrier is very confident about the prospects in this area.
