DHL has announced the launch of direct LCL services from Shanghai to Buenos Aires and Valparaiso, enhancing its connectivity between South America and China.
Operated by DHL's in-house carrier, Danmar Lines, the new weekly service enables cargo to be shipped directly from Shanghai to Buenos Aires and Valparaiso within 28 and 30 days respectively, up to fifteen days quicker than when routed via Hong Kong.
DHL currently offers nineteen direct LCL services between Asia and South America.
According to Steve Huang, managing director of DHL Global Forwarding - China North, the launch of the new direct LCL services to South America is part of DHL's ongoing plans to expand its own operated, weekly guaranteed LCL services in China.
