Zim Integrated Shipping Services has announced that it would co-operate with four global shipping companies: Compania Chilena de Navegacion Interoceanica (CCNI), Hanjin Shipping, Hapag-Lloyd and Wanhai Lines on the service from Asia to South America East Coast via South Africa.
The joint operation will take effect in April 2010 serving Korea, Central and South China, Singapore, South Africa, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.
The new weekly service will consist of 11 vessels of TEU 4,200, Hanjin and Zim deploying 3 container vessels each, CCNI and Wanhai – 2 vessels each and Hapag-Lloyd deploying one vessel plus slot purchase from other lines.
