NYK Logistics (China) has opened a branch along the Yangtze River in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province in China.
When NYK Logistics established its head office in Shanghai on June 1st, 2000, it was the first logistics company wholly owned by a Japanese company to do so.
Since then, the company has set up branches in Tianjin, Qingdao, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Dalian, Ningbo and Suzhou - mainly cities along the seacoast.
The establishment of the Nanjing branch is NYK's first step in expanding its business inland.
Furthermore, the company's representative offices in Wuhan (capital of Hubei province, located inland along the Yangtze River) and Wuxi (located in the Yangtze River Delta) will be opened as branches in May.
