The no-fly zone over parts of Scotland and England has been extended due to the high density of a volcanic ash cloud from Iceland, Reuters reported.
The reach of the no-fly zone has also been extended to include the Birmingham and Norwich areas, the National Air Traffic Service (NATS) said, but London airports are not yet affected.
"The ash cloud continues to change shape and move further south," NATS said.
Teeside, Leeds-Bradford, Blackpool, Manchester, Liverpool, Doncaster, Carlisle, Humberside, Sheffield, Doncaster and East Midlands airports remain within the no-fly zone, as do all airports in Northern Ireland.
Airports in parts of Scotland and the Isle of Man will also be affected.
