Hapag-Lloyd said it is resuming calls at the deep sea terminal in the Port of Marseilles-Fos.
The carrier said its MCA, MGX, and MPS loops will resume calls at the port in mid-October. It didn’t specify why or when calls to the port had been suspended.
According to ComPair Data, the MCA service has a rotation of Valencia, Cagliari, Salerno, Livorno, Genoa, Marseilles-Fos, Algeciras, Lisbon, Montreal, Algeciras and Valencia. It operates with five vessels with an average capacity of 2,077 TEUs, with Hapag-Lloyd providing four vessels and Hanjin Shipping one.
The MGX service has a rotation of Cagliari, Livorno, Genoa, Marseilles-Fos, Barcelona, Valencia, Port Everglades, Veracruz, Altimira, Houston, New Orleans, and Cagliari. It operates with six Hapag-Lloyd vessels averaging 3,323 TEUs. CSAV, Zim and CCNI are slot buyers.
Finally, the standalone MPS has a rotation of Cagliari, Livorno, Genoa, Marseilles-Fos, Barcelona, Valencia, Cartagena, Manzanillo, Los Angeles, Oakland, Vancouver, Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles, Manzanillo, Caucedo and Valencia. It’s operated with six Hapag-Lloyd vessels averaging 2,341 TEUs.
