Etihad Crystal Cargo, a division of Etihad Airways, said it will launch a twice weekly service from its hub at Abu Dhabi International Airport to Hong Kong, China.
The service will begin Oct. 13 with the carrier’s newly acquired A330-200 freighter, which has a payload of 60 metric tons.
"This new service, our fourth dedicated freighter service to China, is an important strategic addition to our freight network,” said Roy Kinnear, senior vice president of Etihad Crystal Cargo. "Hong Kong is the world's second busiest cargo hub, giving us huge growth potential and a strengthened product to offer our global key accounts.”
Etihad also operates to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou in China. The cargo airline operates a fleet of two A300-600, two A330 and two MD11s and covers 23 cargo freighter destinations and 71 cargo destinations around the world.
