Air China has agreed to buy 20 aircraft from Airbus to expand the Beijing-based carrier's overall fleet capacity by 18.6 percent, reported Dow Jones Newswires.

The Chinese flag carrier said the combined list price of the 10 Airbus A330 and 10 Airbus A350 aircraft was US$4.49 billion.

The carrier expects to take delivery of the A330 planes from 2013 to 2015 and the A350 planes from 2018 to 2020.
