CMA CGM announced a range of rate increases and surcharges across its global liner network aimed at restoring revenue.
Effective May 1, rates will rise by $214 per 20-foot equivalent unit from North Europe to the Caribbean, Central America and the West Coast of South America.
From North Europe to Mexico: $150 per TEU dry.
From all Asia origins to the Red Sea: $150 percent TEU all types.
From Asia and the Indian subcontinent to the U.S. West Coast and Canada West Coast: $400 per 40-foot equivalent unit dry.
From Asia and the Indian subcontinent to the U.S. and Canada interior point intermodal serviced via West Coast ports: $600 per FEU dry.
From Asia and the Indian subcontinent to the U.S. interior point intermodal serviced via East Coast ports: $600 per FEU dry.
Effective May 9, the cost of shipping all types of 20 foot containers from New Zealand to Europe will increase $250.
CMA CGM also will introduce a peak season surcharge of $400 per 40-foot dry container effective June 15 from Asia and the Indian subcontinent to West or East coast of the U.S. and Canada West Coast.
