Hyundai Heavy Industries, South Korea's leading shipbuilder, said it has won a combined US$825 million order to build five ships, including four container vessels.
Hyundai Heavy will build the four container ships under another deal with Container Carrier Corp of Greece and has options to build five more vessels under the deals, the yard said in a statement.
So far this year, Hyundai Heavy has won $9.2 billion worth of contracts to build 34 ships. The shipbuilder is targeting orders valued at $19.8 billion for the year.
