China Southern to buy six B777 freighters

China Southern Airlines, one of the country's three biggest air carriers, has agreed to buy six B777 freighters from Boeing Co to boost its cargo capacity in terms of available ton kilometres by 8.4 percent, reported Dow Jones Newswires. The carrier said the list price for the six freighters is US$1.58 billion. The six freighters will be delivered in stages between 2013 and 2015, and China Southern will use bank loans and operating funds to finance the deal, it said.   Cargonews Asia
