A capacity agreement with Edelweiss Air has enabled Swiss WorldCargo to expand its network in the summer flight schedule.
Effective in June Swiss WorldCargo will add Beijing, Anchorage, Orlando and Beirut to its network.
These new direct services strengthen the carrier's position in China, North America and the Middle East.
Swiss WorldCargo is already prominently represented in China with daily flights to Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The new weekly services to Anchorage and Orlando further increases the number of North American destinations served by Swiss WorldCargo, which include New York (JFK and Newark), Boston, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Montreal and Toronto.
The direct connection between Zurich and Beirut offers potential for the transportation of smaller and medium-sized cargo shipments.
In summer this year, the connection between Zurich and Vancouver/Calgary (Canada) will also be reinstated.
Swiss WorldCargo's destinations will continue to include the entire portfolio of Edelweiss Air destinations in Kenya, Tanzania, Mexico, the Maldives, the Dominican Republic, Kosovo and Macedonia.
