Swiss WorldCargo on March 31 plans to double its options for air cargo shippers in and out of the New York area by reconnecting its global network to New Jersey’s Newark airport.
The service will include daily wide-body capacity using an Airbus A340-300 plane.
“Newark is well situated to serve the greater New York area as well as the entire East Coast with a tightly woven truck service network already in place,” said Jack Lampinski, Swiss WorldCargo’s managing director and head of area management for North and South America, in a note to customers. “Destinations like Philadelphia and Washington can now be reached without the time-consuming and costly transit through New York’s bridges and tunnels.”
