Dubai-based Emirates Airline will begin passenger flights to Baghdad from 13 November 2011. Operating four times per week, Baghdad will be Emirates’ fifth 2011 international destination to launch, with Basra and Geneva already operational and Copenhagen and St Petersburg to follow 01 August and 01 November respectively.
EK941 will depart Dubai at 07:55hrs, touching down at Baghdad International Airport at 09:40hrs the same day. At 11:35hrs, return flight EK942 will depart Baghdad arriving in Dubai at 14:55hrs the same day. The service will operate on a Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and use an A330 in a three class configuration.
The airline currently operates a four-times-weekly service to Basra in Iraq and has offices located in both Basra and Baghdad.
