Fesco has just added a port call to Xiamen in its China service network this month, which is not only part of the company's plan to attract more cargo from the port, but also part of its wider plan to link a growing number of Chinese customers to its popular Moscow Shuttle rail service from Vladivostok Container Terminal, reported SKRIN Newswire.
Fesco now offers customers two independent weekly loops from China to Vladivostok.
The first loop calls at Hong Kong, Xiamen and Shanghai, while the second loop covers the ports of Xingang, Qingdao and Ningbo before arriving in Vladivostok where containers destined for the Moscow market will then be switched over to Fesco's rail service and taken onto their final destination.
The total transit time is around 23-25 days, including all documentation and everything.
It is basically 10 days quicker than the 35 to 37 days transit time by deep sea.
