MCC Transport, the intra-Asia specialist carrier of the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group, has made changes to a number of its services connecting various regions within Asia.
The line’s IA4 service will drop a call in Shanghai and add a second, southbound call in Kaohsiung, giving a revised rotation of Jakarta, Tanjung Pelepas, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Busan, Gwangyang, Qingdao, Kaohsiung, Tanjung Pelepas, Surabaya and Jakarta. The service operates with four vessels with an average capacity of 2,779 TEUs, according to ComPair Data.
The line’s IA7 service will see a call in Jakarta dropped and replaced with one in Manila. A second call in Tanjung Pelepas will also be culled, leaving a rotation of Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Manila, Keelung, Kaohsiung and Tanjung Pelepas. The service operates with three vessels averaging 1,496 TEUs.
The IN7 service, concentrated in Southeast Asia, will have a revised rotation of Tanjung Pelepas, Semarang, Panjang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Songkhla, Kuantan and Tanjung Pelepas. MCC said the revision would add direct links from Semarang and Panjang in Indonesia to Songkhla in Thailand and Kuantan in Malaysia.
And another Southeast Asia feeder, the IN1, will add a call at Merak in Indonesia, leaving a rotation of Jakarta, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Merak and Jakarta.
The rotation changes are to occur from early to mid-September.
