Logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel established a thrice-weekly highway service linking Shanghai and Guangzhou.
The Shanghai-Guangzhou shuttle follows the April launch of the company’s first long-haul road shuttle in China, a 750-mile route with three weekly departures between Shanghai and Tianjin.
Kuehne + Nagel said it will add eight depots by year end in Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Beijing, Xiamen, Chengdu and Wuhan, increasing the company’s total in China to 20. The company plans to add four China offices by the end of the year, increasing its total to 36, and said its plans further network extensions in 2012.
