The liner carrier Zim said it and COSCO Container Lines are adding a third vessel to their jointly run loop between Mediterranean and West Africa.
The MAF service is currently run with two ships (one from each carrier) of 1,700 TEUs in capacity, according ComPair Data. Rotation for the service is Naples, Genoa,Tarragona, Tema – Lagos (Tin Can Island), Takkoradi, Abidjan, and Naples.
“This new set-up is part of our ongoing efforts to improve our service to customers and broaden our coverage of the African trades,” Zim said in a statement.
The line didn’t specify which carrier will provide the extra vessel.
