The liner carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co. said it plans to raise eastbound transpacific rates in line with recent recommendations from the Transpacific Stabilization Agreement.
The line will raise rates by $320 per 20-foot container, $400 per 40-foot container, and $450 per 40-foot high-cube container as of Jan. 1. MSC’s proposed increases apply to west coast, east coast and inland port intermodal moves from Asia.
