Panalpina launched two direct less-than-container load services between Taiwan and South Korea and Poland, as part of the Swiss logistics company’s long-term strategy to grow business on key Asian trade lanes.
The guaranteed weekly services linking Keelung and Busan to Wroclaw, Poland, operated by in-house carrier Pantainer Express Line, were launched to meet increased customer demands, especially in the automotive, high-tech and telecom sectors, Panalpina said.
The direct services reduce transit times by two days, compared with the previous routing via Panalpina’s LCL hub in Hamburg, Germany — 32 days from Keelung and 38 days from Busan.
Panalpina already operates direct LCL services to Poland from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Ningbo.
